The government has expanded access to the favorable mortgage program єОселя for employees of Ukrzaliznytsia who have lost their homes due to the war. This decision aligns with the state policy of supporting internally displaced persons and stabilizing critical sectors of the economy. Ukrzaliznytsia, which is one of the largest employers for IDPs, receives an additional mechanism for retaining personnel and supporting its employees.
The financial conditions for railway workers have been significantly softened:
▪️ up to 40 thousand UAH for document processing covered by the state;
▪️ 70% of the down payment financed by the state, 20% - Ukrzaliznytsia;
▪️ in the first year, the state compensates 70% of the monthly payment, Ukrzaliznytsia - 10%;
▪️ in the next two years, Ukrzaliznytsia increases its own compensation share to 20% and 30% respectively.
Thanks to this, employees have the opportunity to purchase housing worth up to 2 million UAH, paying a minimal down payment - no more than 60 thousand UAH.
🔝The first participants were railway workers from Poltava region, who were provided with a voucher for purchasing housing after losing their home in Pokrovsk. By the end of the year, it is planned to involve about 100 families in the program.
At the same time, the government and Ukrzaliznytsia are working on further expanding support programs for the industry and implementing mechanisms that will increase the level of wages.
