From January 5, 2026, the state program "eRecovery" will operate under updated parameters, which will calculate compensation for damaged or destroyed housing, directly affecting the final payment amounts for citizens.
The key update is the adjustment of the cost of building materials and repair works. According to the Ministry of Community and Territory Development, prices have been updated for 65 positions – from roofing and facade works to interior finishing and engineering systems. On average, they have increased by 27.5%, which allows narrowing the gap between state compensation and actual costs for housing recovery.
For example:
▪️ replacement of metal entrance doors has increased from 14.4 thousand to 31.2 thousand UAH;
▪️ restoration of the facade with insulation – from 2,348 to 3,021 UAH per m²;
▪️ local roof repair – from 512 to 597 UAH per m².
Another important step is the expansion of the list of works that can be included in the compensation. In 2026, it will be allowed to add the restoration of sewerage, heating systems, gas and electricity supply to the calculations. This is especially relevant for housing where the damage has affected not only structures but also basic engineering networks.
At the same time, the maximum compensation amounts remain unchanged:
▪️ up to 200 thousand UAH – for minor current repairs;
▪️ up to 350 thousand UAH – for major repairs of apartments;
▪️ up to 500 thousand UAH – for major repairs of private houses.
However, due to the revised prices, these limits in 2026 will allow for a larger volume of work to be completed than before. The mechanism for the operation of commissions remains unchanged, which document damages and form a list of necessary recovery measures.
