▪️The NBU emphasized the need to revise the terms of the state credit programs "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" and "eHousing" in its December report on financial stability. According to forecasts, the government’s debt to banks under the "5-7-9" program will increase to UAH 10 billion by the end of 2024, exceeding the 2023 figure of UAH 7 billion
The NBU notes that, due to improving market conditions, state support no longer plays a decisive role in lending. At the same time, the continuous financing deficit of state programs hinders their sustainability
▪️The eHousing program also requires changes. As noted by the first deputy head of the NBU, Katarina Rozhkova, support must be targeted and aimed at socially vulnerable categories
The NBU emphasizes the importance of rational use of available financial resources and reducing the level of debt. The effectiveness of the "5-7-9" and "eHousing" programs will depend on their ability to focus on key areas that provide maximum return and meet the current needs of the economy and the population
