🖇 The demand for short-term rentals in Ukraine continues to grow even in the third year of the war.
As data from the Olx Real Estate marketplace shows, the demand for short-term rentals increased by 19.3% compared to last year. However, the supply remained stable, which led to a 6% increase in the median price. In many regions, the demand for short-term rentals significantly exceeds the demand for long-term rentals.
📈 The largest increase in requests was recorded in Odesa – in the summer of 2024, it reached a record +285%. Rental prices increased the most in regions near the frontline: in Sumy, Poltava, and Cherkasy (+10-13%). In Kyiv, prices range from 500 to 2,000 UAH per day, maintaining its status as the most expensive market.
In the western regions, the trend of rising prices is less pronounced. The cost of renting houses, on the contrary, has decreased in many cities, although there are exceptions: Ivano-Frankivsk (+52%), Chernihiv (+47%), Ternopil (+40%), Kropyvnytskyi (+32%).
The main drivers of demand have become:
▪️Domestic tourism
▪️Business trips
▪️Volunteering and military needs
