"Made in Ukraine": Strategies for Overcoming the Impacts of War for Crisis, Transit, and Host Regions
At the largest business event of the autumn — the Business Fest "Made in Ukraine," which took place in Kyiv, a panel discussion was held on the topic: "Overcoming the Impacts of War: Strategies for Crisis, Transit, and Host Regions." The event brought together leading experts, entrepreneurs, and government officials to discuss key challenges facing the Ukrainian economy due to the war, as well as opportunities for recovery and development.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, and the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, as part of the project "Transformational Recovery for the Safety of People in Ukraine," which is being implemented with financial support from the Government of Japan.
During the discussion, the main focus was on developing and implementing strategies to support the crisis, transit, and host regions most affected by the war. Participants discussed ways to strengthen economic resilience, attract investments for reconstruction and infrastructure development, as well as ensure effective integration of internally displaced persons into the economic processes of these regions.
Special attention was paid to successful cases of businesses that have adapted to new conditions and continue to operate and develop despite challenges. An important point of the discussion was how Ukrainian business can become a driving force for post-war recovery by creating new jobs and ensuring economic growth.
The festival served as a unique platform for exchanging experiences, ideas, and developing solutions that will help overcome the consequences of war and build a stable economic future for Ukraine. Participation in such an event allows not only discussing pressing issues but also finding concrete ways to solve them through the interaction of business, government, and international organizations.
The leadership of the Institute for Market Development of Real Estate of Ukraine "Plektan" also took an active part in the event. In addition, representatives of the Institute had the opportunity to communicate with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko. This communication could be an important step toward deepening cooperation with the government and defining key areas for the recovery of the real estate market, which is critically important under the current economic situation.
This event confirms that despite challenging circumstances, Ukrainian business remains active, strives for development, and is ready to overcome all challenges for the recovery and prosperity of our country.
